The “XI Workshop of the Molecular Simulation Network” has been held in La Rábida

The International University of Andalusia (UNIA) hosted the XI Workshop of the Molecular Simulation Network (RdSiMol) at its La Rábida campus, in Palos de la Frontera, held from October 4 to 6. This scientific meeting brought together 32 researchers from the 16 research groups that make up RdSiMol, belonging to different Research Institutes –including CIQSO-, CSIC Centers and Universities.

The aim of this Network is to create a forum for discussion and the exchange of ideas, as well as to establish the foundations for the creation of a Molecular Simulation School that will serve as an introduction for Master’s students and those in the first years of their PhDs.

Recently, the Network has received funding through various projects from the State Research Agency and is awaiting the new application under the 2026 Research Networks call “Molecular Simulation Network” (RED2026-178875-T).

The person responsible for the “XI Workshop of the Molecular Simulation Network” was Prof. Felipe J. Blas (PI of the “Molecular Simulation and Computational Chemistry Laboratory” at CIQSO), who is also the coordinator of the Network.
