Prof. Jesús D. de la Rosa (Atmospheric Pollution Lab, CIQSO, University of Huelva), together with an international team of researchers, has contributed to studies led by Kaspar Dällenbach, Petros Vasilakos, and Imad El Haddad (PSI Center for Energy and Environmental Sciences, Paul Scherrer Institute, Switzerland). Published in the prestigious journal Nature, these studies have demonstrated that airborne particulate matter from the deserts of North Africa is reaching Europe in ever-increasing quantities, with significant implications for public health and solar energy generation.
