After finishing his Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry at the University of Huelva (UHU) in 2014, he studied a Master’s Degree in Teaching in Secondary Education (2015/2016) and a second Master in Chemistry (2016/2017), both at the UHU. In 2017, he moved to Valencia to pursue his PhD in photochemistry under the supervision of Prof. Miguel Ángel Miranda and Dr. Virginie Lhiaubet-Vallet at the Institute of Chemical Technology (ITQ). During his PhD he has been working on the development of new photoremovable protecting groups for carbonyl compounds of biological interest. Over the two last years, he has done two research stays in Germany at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology in Prof. Wagenknecht’s group for a period of 3 months (in 2020) and 1 month (in 2021). In 2022, he joined the group of Prof. Pischel as a postdoctoral researcher thanks to a Margarita Salas fellowship.
